What is the importance of the Spree for Berlin?
How is the river doing and what is its relationship with the city, the region, people, animals and plants?
Is there water in me that has already flowed through both our bodies?
Does water store memories?

Around the theme of water, WeWater brings together perspectives from design, art and science here on Berlin's
Paul-Lincke-Ufer.
The starting point for the exhibition is the urban design SpreeVision Osthafen, which was developed last year by the SpreeBerlin initiative. The design shows the scenario of a social-ecological regenerated Spree in the section of the Osthafen basin.
Further venues of the exhibition are therefore the Osthafen itself, where the design can be discovered via an AR application, as well as the Rummelsburger Bucht, which becomes the sounding board of a performance. The works of the contributing international designers and artists tell through different media about water, as well as its manifold relations to the city,
its non - human as well as human inhabitants.

Biography
Jakob Kukula is a multidisciplinary creator, working in the fields of art, design and music. Born and raised in Berlin, he is life-long influenced by the city’s thriving scenes.
After finishing his product design studies at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, that included abroad experiences at the Pratt Institute, NY and working with Studio Drift in Amsterdam, he returned to Berlin where he worked two years with the Studio Olafur Eliasson and finished his MA Thesis at KHB Weißensee.

As a CO-Founder of Symbiotic lab he currently explores a Planet-Centric Design practice, questioning the relationship between humans and nature, trying to find ways to reconnect and suggest ideas for a social and planetary transformation combining art, design & science.
